Group
classes include
breathing exercises (pranayama), yoga postures (asana), and meditation.
Instruction focuses on flowing movements to open up more space in
the body, mind and heart through proper alignment, breath, strength
and flexibility. The idea of stability and balance is a central
theme. Classes are generally small, so students receive individual
attention for modifications to address their particular needs. Classes
highlight the spiritual nature of yoga; one of compassion, honoring
your own limits while you work with and through them, and one of
integrating what you learn in the class into your day-to-day life.
Please
wear comfortable clothes and arrive 5-10 minutes before class. Yoga
is best practiced on an empty stomach; please don't eat or drink
1-2 hours before class.
